Beauty: Bourjois Happy Light Foundation

29 October 2013

The Bourjois Happy Light Foundation was an impulse buy from Boots last week after all of the raving reviews I had recently heard. Described to give a 'luminous and flawless complexion in any light' I just had to try it out and for an introductory price of £7.99 in Boots it was by no means bank breaking.

One disappointing point I noticed when purchasing the foundation was the limited variety of shades. I got my hands on the shade Porcelaine Porcelain which is the lightest of them and it is OK for my skin colour but anyone with a paler skin tone to me may struggle getting matched. On to the coverage of the foundation which I would say was light and sheer although it can be built to a medium if need be using a buffing brush. As I am never too happy about the appearance of my skin I usually do tend to use a more full coverage base however this foundation is great for a day where you just feel like less it more. The name Happy Light does obviously suggest that it is of a light consistency so I would bare that in mind if you were a full on coverage sort of girl. For a day where your looking for a sheer base then the Happy Light is great, not too dewy but no matte texture left on the skin either. With the colder months creeping up on us the red tint of your cheeks can still lightly show through.

Bourjois have been bringing it with the new releases recently so I would recommend trying them out.
