Beauty: Clinique 'Take the Day Off' Cleansing Balm

09 October 2013

Its official. I'm in love with a skincare product. Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, I love you. Any one that hasn't bought this product, you should do. And I shall tell you why...You know when you get home from a busy day and all you want to do is quickly take your makeup off and slip into some comfy pj's but the thought of the long winded makeup removing process is daunting as it takes too long and quite frankly can not be bothered? Well fear no longer, Take the Day Off does it all for you.

I take a small amount of the waxy textured product onto my hands and massage it onto a dry face. In circular motions the product literally melts my makeup away in seconds where then I rinse my face with a warm flannel and repeat the process to make sure there is no unwanted residue left. I find it works particularly well on the eyes to remove mascara as I don't think I've ever found a product that strips my eyelashes clean so well and fast. I would say however that he cleansing balm can become quite oily when you rub it into the skin so it may not be advised for oily prone skin but for skin that can be quite sensitive I would say it is perfect for as it has no fragrance to it.

I have heard that is is similar to the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm, which is raved about so much within the beauty community but is fairly expensive. This one by Clinique is £21.00 bought at Boots which for the amount of product you need to remove your makeup I think is a great price as it's going to last such a long time.

Have you tried this cleansing balm? What are your thoughts?
